A new weapon, the Necroshot, inflicts not just physical damage but a “dimensional rot,” leaving a permanent, silvery scar that even Eva’s power cannot fully erase. For the first time, Ado is truly vulnerable.

As if that weren't enough, a massive, untraceable global bounty goes live, painting targets on the backs of Ado, Eva, and every senior Foundation member. Their security is compromised from within by homunculi—tiny, necromantic spies planted by the Night Lords—revealing that the Black House and its terrifying Chairman have been watching their every move.

The War Expands

With Ado wounded and the entire organization under siege, the Foundation is forced into a desperate three-front war:

  • Brazil: Sullivan and Cole race against time to stop a ritual involving Adriana Oliveira, now revealed as the “Dark Muse”—a vessel being prepared for an entity of pure Fear. And the ritual has already begun.
  • Prague: Mac and his team must investigate a mysterious anomaly at a shut-down train station, risking exposure to the Night Lords and their master, Gehrud Trellir.
  • The Oni: Ado and Eva undertake a dangerous diplomatic mission, seeking an alliance with their ancient enemy, Il'Shihane, to obtain the cure for the “Rot” that afflicts Ado.

The Host throws everything you thought you knew about the Edenverse into question. The king is wounded, the Foundation is exposed, and the enemy's master plan is already in motion. Time has run out.
