Left for dead, Bors is miraculously revived through the Foundation’s cutting-edge Code Phoenix protocol, a resurrection technology that blurs the line between life and weapon. But coming back changes him — and the war itself.

The Foundation grows stronger — and more complicated. Judith Sullivan steps into her new role as Deputy Director, Benjamin Cole returns seeking redemption for his past betrayal, and we meet Dillon “Mac” MacMillan, a former CIA agent scarred by a deadly encounter with the Night Lords vampire faction.
